Dr. Michael Knight was born and raised in Eastman, Georgia. His wife, Meagan, grew up in Fort Mill and graduated from Fort Mill High School in 2014. They met and began dating when she was attending nursing school at the University of South Carolina, where she graduated in 2018. After graduating from Dodge County High School in 2010, Dr. Knight attended Middle Georgia College from 2010-2012. He graduated summa cum laude in 2014 from the University of Georgia with a bachelor of science degree in biology. In the fall of 2014, he entered dental school at the Dental College of Georgia in Augusta, Georgia. He graduated in 2018 with his DMD and several honors including the Class of 2018 Professionalism Award and Digital Dentistry Award. He has advanced his training since dental school to include implants, root canal treatments, and advanced tooth extraction procedures.

Dr. Michael is an avid outdoorsman, with a keen interest in bow hunting and fly-fishing, and a fitness enthusiast, having recently taken up Crossfit training. He is a lover of books, history, college football, and both his Boykin spaniels.
